Horizon Worlds (Meta)

As Senior Game Designer on the team, I led a team of designers, artists, and audio designers to ship out a catalog of live games and experiences. The work I did helped the Horizon VR creation tools go from a prototype to a shippable product VR users could use to create their own games and experiences.

I led first-party experiences built with Horizon. First party experiences were created to improve usability of the tools, experiment with mechanics and art style, and iterate on product look and feel. I defined the creator user journey from launching the application, to how they learn to build with tutorials and documentation, to how creators share their content with other players.

Contributions

I had the most hours of creation time in the app when I was on this project so I knew how a lot of it worked. I was in VR for many hours a day. I created the first technical documentation for creators, templates, and prefabs for new creators to learn how to make worlds in the product.

I partnered with the Oculus Developer Relations folks in 2020 to supply a tutorial for Launchpad to help developers build in Meta Horizon Worlds.
